Evidence that our wine community is full of incredible people.
Immediately after the Adelaide Hills Bushfire, old friends from far and wide reached out to offer a hand. Two of those people had the brilliant idea that since we'd lost our grapes, and would struggle to make as much wine, that they would make and donate some to us. This is the result...
Peter Dredge (Dr. Edge) is famous for several things, so writing a bio for someone with such talent presents its challenges. When you distil it all down, he's an artist by its truest definition. Single-minded in the pursuit of making world-class wine, the chance to put our heads together on this one was not to be taken for granted.
Tasting notes
We love how seductive this blend of cool climates can be in the glass. Bony and tight, it's pretty before it gets crazy.
By way of introduction, you get Cranberry, rose, fennel and just that fun(ky) little hint of sulfide to push it outside the mainstream.
Followed up on the pallet by cherry, sage and rhubarb, it starts to challenge you with earth, sapp and spice. It's clear to see the pedigree of the winemakers who've joined forces to put this on the table.
